Church School teachers and J2A mentors are asked to be present at an orientation and reception on Wednesday September 8 from 7-9 pm at St. Andrew’s. We will have special food and drink, a chance to hear an over view of curricula, prepare our rooms and enjoy some fellowship. Please mark your calendars today!
Our Sunday School program for both children and adults will begin on Sept. 12th.
Tuesday Evening Bible Study

On Tuesday nights at 7:30 PM, we hold an hour-long Bible Study at St. Andrew's. We're not scholars, but we do enjoy reading the Bible and discussing the meaning we discover in its passages.
All are welcome to join this friendly (and often lively) group.
Women's Spirituality Group - Forming in September
This is a time and place for women to gather, explore, and nurture their personal spirituality. Women traditionally take care of others - everyone but themselves!
Take one hour, once a week to grow what gives you strength to give care and energy to others.
This group is open to women, age 18 & over.
Initially, we’ll meet on Weds., September 15th at noon in the Parish Hall.
For information, contact Kae Romeril at kromeril@rcn.com or 610-868-3724.
Bethlehem CROP Walk - Sunday Oct. 10th

Gratitude For Shelter Volunteers

A major "Thank you" goes out to the Friday Night Shelter volunteers who donated time, food, and sleepless nights to provide for this mission from Dec. 2009 through March 2010.
St. Andrew's was host to an average of 25-30 individuals per night with 65 different guests staying with us throughout the season.

St. Andrew's Music Ministry is Now Hiring
Contribute your time and talent to our choir. You do not have to read music or have previous experience.
We practice on Thursday evenings from 7 PM until 8:30 PM and sing during the second service on Sundays (10:30 AM). We have the summers off. Contact our Music Director, Evelyn Michaels at Harmony895@gmail.com.
Hours of Operation:
Open the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month from 6 PM until 8 PM - except for church holidays.
Our Food Pantry is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization and financial donations should go directly to the Pennsylvania Avenue Interfaith Food Pantry.
· We could use food shopping volunteers to purchase essential groceries at Aldi or PriceRight or other local discount markets on a semi-regular basis.
· Donations of mac & cheese, soups, cold cereals, and boxed potato
products would be extremely welcome!
· Daytime volunteers are needed to help unload deliveries from Second Harvest and to stock shelves (often on Thursday mornings).
Please ask the members of your religious group to donate the food products listed above.
Did you know?
For the period October 2009 thru May 5, 2010 we have had 193 Family Clients, who made a total of 422 Visits, and have fed 674 people for a total food distribution of 1478.
See the Pennsylvania Avenue Interfaith Food Pantry page for updates, an application form for volunteers, plus information on what sort of food products are still needed.
If you have questions, would like to donate, or you represent an organization interested in participating in PAIFP, please contact: Craig Updegrove or call 484-892-1589.

Needed: New Green Chausable
St. Andrew's is in serious need of a new green chausable and related vestments for our Priest. The current one has exceeded its lifespan despite numerous repairs.
This will also involve purchasing another altar cloth. Unfortunately, the price tag for all these items could run up to $2,000.00.
We're hoping that members of St. Andrew's or the families of former members will see this as an opportunity and will donate towards this purchase - perhaps in memory of loved ones. Please contact Scott or any vestry member if you are able to contribute. 610-865-3603 or saec@ptd.net.
